Prove a focused proposition
Identify the customer need, the product’s role in the workflow, and the evidence needed to establish value. Capital needs should relate to what the company must learn or deliver, rather than a general ambition to grow.
Investment strategies
We invest Ooventive’s own capital and manage capital for investors. The investment perspective is shared; the mandate, structure, and responsibilities are specific to each relationship.
Explore our venture thesis, stage-specific expectations, and the path from introduction to investment and ongoing support.
Investing directly in businesses we believe have the potential to create enduring value.
Direct investment means Ooventive deploys its own capital into a company.
We consider the business opportunity alongside the proposed investment structure and the company’s objectives. Our focus includes startups, AI, data, and businesses across other industries.
Managing capital for investors within an agreed investment mandate.
The starting point is understanding what the capital is intended to achieve.
Discussions cover investment objectives, scope, time horizon, decision-making, and reporting. The details of a particular arrangement depend on the mandate and terms agreed with the investor.
Investment criteria
Supporting startups since 2009, with a focus on pre-seed, seed, and seed+. We shape each investment around the company, the next milestone, and the capital relationship.
From validating a customer problem to building adoption and making early traction repeatable.
AI, data, enterprise software, digital trust, and industry transformation. We also consider compelling businesses beyond these themes.
We assess the market, the team’s operating context, and our ability to contribute. Share where your team and customers are based.
Amount and currency are discussed for each opportunity. Include the capital you are seeking, your use of funds, and what it would help demonstrate.
Ownership, governance, and decision rights are discussed individually. There is no fixed ownership percentage presented as a condition of introduction.
Founders can approach us for technology, cloud, or product support before an investment decision. Availability, scope, and commercial terms are agreed separately.
Direct investment uses Ooventive’s own capital. Managed-capital opportunities must also fit the relevant investor mandate. An introduction is the start of a discussion, not a commitment.

Capital in the life of a business
A useful capital discussion begins with the next business objective. The company may be proving a product, developing a repeatable route to customers, or building a capability needed for its next phase.
Our early-stage focus spans pre-seed, seed, and seed+. The examples here describe business objectives within that journey, rather than a promise of financing. Investment size, structure, timing, and other terms depend on the opportunity and the applicable capital arrangement.
Identify the customer need, the product’s role in the workflow, and the evidence needed to establish value. Capital needs should relate to what the company must learn or deliver, rather than a general ambition to grow.
Understand how interest becomes paid adoption, what it costs to acquire and serve customers, and which activities can be repeated without a proportionate increase in complexity.
Examine why expansion, additional infrastructure, or a new product is necessary. Connect the proposed investment to the existing business, the resources required, and the consequences if the plan changes.
Discuss the proposed structure, use of funds, information needs, decision rights, and time horizon. For managed capital, the opportunity must also be considered within the investor’s agreed mandate.
Early conviction. Thoughtful capital.
Supporting startups since 2009. We meet the company at its stage of development and connect the capital conversation to what it needs to prove next.
For the earliest chapter: a clear customer problem, a founding team with a point of view, and a product hypothesis worth testing.
For businesses developing a working product and learning how customer interest becomes repeated use and a commercial relationship.
For the next early-stage chapter: strengthening an emerging business model and building the operating foundations for further growth.
Stages guide the conversation; they do not replace understanding the business. Investment structure and the scope of support are considered for each opportunity.
